Leadership

“I’ve always loved working with people and hearing their stories — each one reflects a life that has shaped families, communities, and the world around us.”
James (“Jim”) Burrell, LNHA
Administrator
James Burrell has dedicated nearly four decades to serving others in long-term care. His career began in 1986 as a Chaplain and Director of Social Services in Illinois, where he discovered his calling to help residents and families navigate life’s most meaningful moments. In 1999, he became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and went on to lead several facilities in Illinois and Colorado before joining Grantsbrook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in North Carolina.
At Grantsbrook, James leads a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional care and strengthening the facility’s connection within the community. Known for his servant leadership and approachable style, he believes that great leadership starts with listening, caring, and working alongside others toward shared goals.

“I find joy in the meaningful connections I form with our residents, my team and the community we serve. My purpose is to make a positive difference in the lives of those we care for, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and loved every step of the way.”
